{"id":7225,"date":"2021-02-08T14:04:24","date_gmt":"2021-02-08T19:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/blog\/?p=7225"},"modified":"2021-02-08T14:04:24","modified_gmt":"2021-02-08T19:04:24","slug":"tissue-paper-back-in-stock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/tissue-paper-back-in-stock\/","title":{"rendered":"TISSUE PAPER &#8211; BACK IN STOCK!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have re-stocked tissue; New and Old!<\/p>\n<p>I thought I was going to be out of the tissue business, but friends Chuck Imbergamo and Mike Kirda have been hard at work tracking down tissue suitable for modeling.<\/p>\n<p>Mike tracked down the LAST genuine Esaki tissue in a warehouse in Japan.\u00a0 Several of us dealers bought up everything (except several thousand of the slow-selling green) that was in the warehouse:\u00a0 All of the White, Blue, and Black.\u00a0 It is all state-side and will be distributed to the dealers as soon as my postage issues get worked out.<\/p>\n<p>Mike also found a 9gsm tissue (Esakie is 12-13gsm, Gampi is about 9gsm) and I ordered a bunch of that.\u00a0 It is quite different than Gampi &#8211; Gampi is thin and crisp, whereas this is very soft and slightly porous.\u00a0 I am covering a model with this now and it requires patience and a slightly different technique.\u00a0 But it does shrink up in a gentle and consistent manner.\u00a0 But being soft, it will dimple if touched with a pointy object &#8211; like your fingertip.\u00a0 I am sealing it with 3 coats of 5:1 thinner:dope combo and I am impressed with the parts where I didn&#8217;t make any mistakes covering &#8211; it looks very good.\u00a0 This Kuranai is only available in WHITE.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, Mike and Chuck were simultaneously working with Testuro Kubo in Japan.\u00a0 He operates a hobby website (<a href=\"http:\/\/backyardfactory.net\/peanut\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/backyardfactory.net\/peanut\/<\/a>) and appears to be the middleman for this Asuka tissue.\u00a0 I decided to carry RED, ORANGE, and YELLOW since I now have plenty of White, Black, and Blue).\u00a0 This tissue is reportedly about 14gsm.\u00a0 The colors I have are not the same as Esaki (different manufacturer, remember?), with the red being more &#8220;red&#8221;, the orange being very bright, and the yellow more like lemon yellow.\u00a0 (P.S. &#8211; this is the same tissue that Peck just announced.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ESAKI (there will be no more)<br \/>\nWhite &#8211; 1900 sheets<br \/>\nBlue &#8211; 450 sheets<br \/>\nBlack &#8211; 400 sheets<br \/>\nGreen &#8211; some left<br \/>\nBrown &#8211; some left<br \/>\nSky Blue &#8211; not much left<br \/>\nSilver &#8211; not much left<br \/>\nBlue Checkerboard &#8211; very little left<\/li>\n<li>KURANAI (new supply)<br \/>\nWhite &#8211; 900 sheets<\/li>\n<li>ASUKA (new supply)<br \/>\nRed &#8211; 1000 sheets<br \/>\nOrange &#8211; 1000 sheets<br \/>\nYellow &#8211; 1000 sheets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can find all my tissues on this page:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/blog\/?product_cat=esaki\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TISSUE PAPER<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Asuka.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-7215\" src=\"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Asuka-1024x670.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Asuka-1024x670.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Asuka-300x196.jpg 300w, https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Asuka-768x503.jpg 768w, https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Asuka.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have re-stocked tissue; New and Old!
