{"id":5717,"date":"2020-03-20T13:12:37","date_gmt":"2020-03-20T17:12:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/blog\/?p=5717"},"modified":"2020-03-20T13:12:37","modified_gmt":"2020-03-20T17:12:37","slug":"postal-contest-home-front-corona-combat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/volareproducts.com\/new2024\/postal-contest-home-front-corona-combat\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Postal&#8221; Contest &#8211; Home Front Corona Combat!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bored at home and ready for action?\u00a0 Here is a fun event for everyone, but that must be flown in your own home.\u00a0 THERE WILL BE PRIZES!\u00a0 Here are the basic rules, with expanded reasoning below:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>1\/2-Scale NoCal WWII Home Front Corona Combat<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>any WWII Combat eligible aircraft<\/li>\n<li>FAC NoCal Rules, excepting<br \/>\na. maximum 8&#8243; wingspan<br \/>\nb. maximum 4.5&#8243; propeller<br \/>\nc. must use a LOOP of 1\/16&#8243; rubber (only this size)<br \/>\nd. minimum wood size: 1\/16&#8243; square (laminations ok, all-sheet build ok at 1\/32&#8243;)<br \/>\ne. minimum motor stick: 1\/8&#8243; square (no rolled)<\/li>\n<li>Flying &#8211; inside your home only<\/li>\n<li>Scoring<br \/>\na. unlimited attempts and submitted scores<br \/>\nb. flight time in seconds (no max)<br \/>\nc. weight multiplier: flight time x grams w\/o rubber (penalizes ultralight models)<br \/>\nd. video multiplier: subtotal x 1.5 (shared video bonus)<\/li>\n<li>Submission must include<br \/>\na. Builder Name<br \/>\nb. Model Name<br \/>\nc. Weight in grams<br \/>\nd.
