This small program will be useful when you are constructing paper cones for wheel hub caps or the like.
The idea is that you can create a 3-dimensional cone from a disc of paper simply by cutting one radius and regluing the disc together with a slight overlap. On occasions (making a tall cone), you will need to remove a section from the disc. The amount to be removed will be represented by the term "Arc (degrees)". For small cones with very shallow depths, only a cut on the radius will be enough and the overlap will be minimal. On larger cones, the overlap will default to increments of 1/16 of an inch. Use the TAB or the Mouse to select a space, type in the number and TAB or Click again, filling both "Desired" blanks. Then Click on "Calculate". "Clear" clears all data for a new sheet. |
