From Comet’s “big” Dimers – the Allied Sport. This was proposed as a two-seat trainer or sport aircraft. To my knowledge, ONE was built – a converted Westbrook Sportster (see FAC News Issue #118 page 15). Here is what Aerofiles has to say about it:
These 20″-span models are simple like the traditional Dime Scale. In fact, they were sold for 10-cents along with the 16″ span models. All structure is 1/16″ square and while these are no longer legal for FAC Dime Scale, they are great for Simplified Scale.
The short kits contains a rolled plan (copy of original with VPS notes) and 2 sheets of 1/16″ balsa laser-cut parts.
ALL VOLARE KITS ARE MADE IN SMALL BATCHES. IF STOCK-ON-HAND IS ZERO, A NEW BATCH WILL BE PRODUCED SOON. SIMPLY ORDER ANYWAY AND WE WILL MAKE THEM.
