Description
I’ve had a long fascination with the Stallion, ever since I saw it on the cover of the February 1995 Private Pilot magazine. It is one of those elusive high-wing aircraft with retract gear and without struts – very clean. I built my first Peanut of this in the summer of 1995.
This short kit is the result of my third Peanut build of this aircraft and the first with laser-cut parts. I focused on building lightly and it came out to be just a pinch over 7 grams. It probably could have been lighter without a plastic prop, spinner, and the sheeting on the nose – maybe 1 gram less.
The short kit contains, a new plan (including a factory two-view) and two sheets of light weight balsa: 1x 1/16″ sheet and 1x 1/32″ sheet. The windscreens are made from flat plastic and good templates are provided on the plan.
